Forest School for Home Educators: Nature-Based Learning for Children & Parents Rooted in curiosity. Guided by nature. Our Forest School sessions for home-educated children and their parents offer a unique, child-led learning experience in the great outdoors. Designed for a range of ages and tail …moreored to each child’s interests and needs, these sessions foster confidence, creativity, and connection through hands-on, nature-based activities. Each week, children will have the opportunity to: 🌿 Get involved in real gardening — planting, harvesting, and learning about the rhythms of nature 🐐 Feed and care for animals — building empathy and responsibility 🪵 Use real tools safely — whittling, sawing, and building with purpose 🔥 Cook over an open campfire — from simple snacks to shared meals 🧠 Explore personal interests — whether that’s bugs, building dens, drawing in the dirt, or just appreciating the calmness of nature. With the Forest School ethos at its core, this class prioritizes play, exploration, and social-emotional development, while gently supporting academic learning in a real-world context. Parents are welcome to join in, connect with others, and be part of their child’s outdoor journey. Come rain or shine, we learn and grow together—naturally. less
